She's Home!

Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad! Today is their 39th wedding anniversary.

Mom is home, sitting up, and enjoying a good lunch outside on the back patio with Danny, Julie, and Daniel!! It has been a difficult few days during chemo, but this morning she is feeling much better. We are thankful that she has several hours of feeling better. They are looking forward to resting and being home.

No visitors for now. Late this afternoon, the intense fatigue (that Dr. Milliken described) will set in for the next 24 hours. Julie is there right now, and Hailey will be in tonight. They are both ready to take care of whatever Mom needs.

Please continue to pray for Mom and Dad. Dad has been amazing through all of this. It is a difficult transition, but he has a great attitude. We are just taking one day at at time.

  1. Carol, we're thinking of you. I know you're in good hands and getting the best of care. Happy Anniversary to you and Dan.
It's good to be able to get your daily news..I'm a newby to this blog thing, but this is proving it has great value. Dick and I are in Puerto Vallarta now and just arrived from San Miguel de Allende.
Last Saturday, our Healing Team ministry had a special hands on healing prayer for you, so you're being covered by Episcopalians, too. One can never have too many prayers.
    We love you.

  3. Carol, I'm so happy to hear you're back home and have your first chemo treatment behind you. I'm especially happy to know Hailey and Julie are with you. I know that alone is making you feel better. You are constantly in our prayers for continued strength and healing.

I know you have help right now, but when the girls go home, anytime you need me for last minute things like grocery shopping, drug store pick-ups or help at the house, PLEASE call me. I am right here. I would feel honored to help in anyway.

Hope to see you soon. Elise

P.S. - Happy Anniversary to you and Dan
