Carol came home from the hospital this afternoon around 4:30. They gave her a medication this morning that has helped her feel really great! She even went to have her hair done in the salon at MD Anderson. Ask her about it to get a good laugh! I think she'll prefer dirty hair to having that experience again any time soon.
While Carol was getting her hair done, Danny attended a class on how to care for his bride. Way to go, Danny. We know she's in good hands now.
Her friend Tom Buchholz, an oncologist at MD Anderson, came to visit her last night and again this morning. She is so grateful for the time he spent answering her questions.
Julie has called and is in town. She should be walking in the door soon. Such excitement and joy to end the day!
Tomorrow at 9:30 Carol and Danny will meet with the oncologist to discuss treatment plans and schedules. We'll keep you posted.

Hi Carol. Welcome home! We missed you at prayer today. I am really just trying to see if I know how to post a comment. I'm following Mary Shannon's directions!!! I guess the world can read this so I won't say too much. Know I love you and am ready to do any little (or big)thing to help. What a joy to have Julie get home just as you do! Love you. Camille
ReplyDeleteMom, I am glad you are home! I can't wait to hear the story about getting your hair done! I am so jealous that you and dad get to have dinner with Julie and Stephen, how fun! I love you!
ReplyDeleteGood evening Carol. Like Camile, I'm trying to see if I can do this correctly. How wonderful to have Julie home. Houghton and I will be praying for your meeting in the morning. Love, Claudia (the other one)
ReplyDeleteMom, I can't wait to hear about your hair. I wondered about that. You are way too young to be going to the "old lady salon", which is what I pictured. I also can't wait to hear about time with Julie and Stephen.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your updates! All our family and half of Abilene have you on our prayer lists! Praying for your strength and for your precious family. Love, Kevin & Terri
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are home. Sounds like the girls have things organized! We pray for you everyday and the entire family. Be positive and know you are not alone. With all our positive energy sent your way,
ReplyDeleteRalph and Monica
The love and prayer surrounding you during this time is a great encouragement!
ReplyDeleteWe're praying, too.
